MY EXPERIENCE…
- Since July 1997:
- Several hundreds of unique furniture and products has been created, with the use of wooden form designs found in the nature. Works have travelled to more than 10 countries around the world.
- Positive approval from the furniture design experts from different countries published in the press, on exhibitions and internet sites.
- Daily performed the research for the use of diversity and usage possibilities of the natural forms of wood in everyday life.
- Technology and its specifics of natural materials handling.
- Research of the wood and its natural forms influence on children and adults.
- Cooperation with masters and artists in Latvia and abroad.
- Constant improvement of workshop premises and work tools.
- 2010 – Experience exchange USA (Oregon, Sisters) .
- 2009 – Work with the development of project idea of ecological construction (studio – workshop).
- 2008 Latvian Chamber of Crafts grants a status of master’s workshop.
- 2008 – Individual work with people in the master’s workshop.
- 2007 -World Latvian 3×3 Family Camp – woodworking line leader.
- 2006 – World Latvian 3×3 Family Camp – woodworking line leader.
- 1993-2007 – Housekeeping teacher in Ernst Gluck Aluksne National Gymnasium.
- 2004 – Latvian Chamber of Crafts grants a master’s degree in processing natural wooden forms.
- 2004 – Establishment of association of natural wooden form processing.
- 2002 – Latvian Chamber of Crafts grants a journeyman degree in the handicraft of woodworker.
- 2002, 2003 – Creation of study movie for pupils “ Forest sculpture”.
- 2002 – Thematic course of lectures in the University of Latvia (lecturer).
- 2000 – development of Bachelor’s Paper – “Forest sculpture in the housekeeping academic classes”, acquisition of the Bachelor’s degree with a qualification of housekeeping, culture history and technical drawing teacher.
- 1998 – A bed-cradle was made for a daughter Marta. Also sons Gustavs and Pauls slept in it during the first years of their life.
- 1997 – The first wooden product of natural forms – clothes-rack, which is produced from the top of wind-fallen spruce-tree.
- 1993 – National Malpils Construction Technical School – qualification – supervising engineer.
- 1988 – Aluksne Secondary School No.1
